Embroidered flowers were historically used to adorn alpine costumes, and were worn by men only. Each village has its own representative flower. Rier offers flower embroidered garments made to suit everyone, freely. For the first time this year, the flower embroideries are applied to crisped popeline items, perfect for summer and to combine with wool Walker items for fresh evening or winter celebrations. Popeline is a richly constructed centennial English fabric, exceptional for its body and character in 100% cotton, here carefully crushed by hand and tailored in Austria. The long dress open back Tunic is inspired by the utilitarian aprons, alpine farmers use to wear, held by 1 neck-button in mother pearl and long side straps, to easily adjust at the waist. The subtle side pocket opening grants simple, clever access to underneath trouser pockets without having to open the dress.
